Pupils with Dyspraxia are affected by an impairment or immaturity in the way they move, often appearing clumsy. They find it hard to learn motor skills, may have poor balance and co-ordination and be hesitant in many actions (running, skipping, hopping, holding a pencil, doing jigsaws, etc). The way they speak may be immature and their language late to develop. They may also have a lack of awareness of body position and poor social skills.
The Dyspraxia Foundation aims to give information and access to practical support.
